A Darkly Comic Tale Shaped in Post

The short film Noodles turned heads with its strange, unsettling take on desperation and ambition. The story follows an anxious, penniless woman who discovers a bizarre solution to her financial troubles — one that brings her sudden success, but quickly spirals into a haunting burden.

The film was cut by Evy Katz at Left Post Productions, whose editorial touch gave the story its sharp rhythm and unsettling tension. Visual effects were handled by the team at Chocolate Tribe, who brought the surreal world of Noodles to life with technical finesse.

Together, the collaboration showcased the strength of South African post-production talent, blending editorial craft and VFX to create a short film that lingers long after the credits roll.
