    The Problem

    - Drives being couriered

    - Editors working on different project versions

    - Endless relinking

    - No clear “latest” master

    How PostCore Solves It
All editors log into dedicated hosted workstations connected to the same shared storage.
One project. One location. One source of truth.

No duplicates. No confusion. No version chaos.

  • 02 - Freelance Editor Joining a Larger Production

    Scenario
A production company brings in a freelance editor mid-project.

    The Problem

    - Media transfers are risky

    - Storage setup becomes inconsistent

    - Security concerns increase

    How PostCore Solves It

    Scenario
A director is overseas. The editor is local. The agency is elsewhere.

    - Sending exports back and forth

    - Waiting overnight for changes

    - Multiple cut versions floating around

    How PostCore Solves It
Everyone connects to the same workstation and media environment.
    Live remote sessions are possible.
Directors can review directly inside the edit session.

Real-time collaboration. No re-uploads. No delay loops.

  • 04 - Tight Budget, Still Needs Professional Structure

    Scenario
A brand or indie production can’t afford a full facility package — but still needs professional structure.

    The Problem

    - Editing happening on personal laptops

    - Media stored on unmanaged SSDs

    - No backup discipline

    - Risk of loss or corruption

    How PostCore Solves It
The project runs inside a professional, hosted environment.
Secure shared storage. Controlled access. Stable hardware.

  • 05 - Seamless Upgrade to Finishing

    Scenario
The offline edit is complete and the project needs colour, finishing, or supervised delivery.

    The Problem

    - Media needs to be migrated

    - Projects need relinking

    - Storage duplication increases

    - Risk of version errors

    How PostCore Solves It
The project is already inside our infrastructure.
No migration. No relinking. No downtime.

Move directly from offline to finishing — in the same ecosystem.

  • To reduce risk and keep storage clean:

Project media is retained for 7 days after the booking ends.

    After that:

    • Data is automatically deleted

    • Or long-term storage can be arranged separately

This keeps projects secure, contained, and compliant.

  • This storage is managed, with a focus on:

    • Access auditing – we can track who accessed project data and when

    • Controlled permissions – access is granted only to approved users

    • Project isolation – each production is kept separate and contained

This ensures your media stays secure, traceable, and protected at all times.

  • Not everyone needs the same level of access.

We apply permission-based access to storage:

    • Editors receive read/write access only to their assigned project

    • Additional users can be limited to read-only access where appropriate

    • No open folders or shared free-for-all environments

This reduces mistakes, prevents accidental deletions, and keeps projects organised. description
