With Streetwise Loaded & Remixed, director Thati Pele of Patriot Films expands on the bold cinematic universe first introduced in Streetwise: Feed Your Original, directed by Sam Coleman. The new campaign continues that visual language while introducing fresh elements to mark the arrival of KFC South Africa’s latest product.
The transition into this evolved world is signalled by a striking rotating shot of amapiano artist Zee Nxumalo inside a studio booth — a defining moment that anchors the spot in contemporary South African culture and establishes the entry point into the Streetwise Loaded & Remixed universe. From there, the look develops with lifted shadows flowing through the smoke transition, heightened texture, and vibrant accents, creating a distinct remix while retaining continuity with the original campaign.
The food remains central to the imagery. Crisp highlights and rich golden tones emphasize the flavour and texture of the chicken, while cooler, grittier backdrops provide contrast and atmosphere. This interplay ensures the product commands attention within the energetic, performance-driven environments.
The grade by Zama Mnyakeni unified these layers balancing contrast, curating colour, and guiding focus to deliver a visual identity that feels both rooted in an established universe and confidently reimagined for a new chapter.
